The MCT30 turret from Kongsberg mounted on the Bradley Fighting Vehicle. As a remote controlled turret the overhead installation frees much needed space in the protected fighting compartment, while leaving the commander and gunner adequate operating space below. The turret is accessible from the hull and the gun can be reloaded manually if required; the turret could also have a hatch to enable the vehicle commander to look out if necessary

The turret mounts the XM-813 automatic gun from ATK, a linkless, automatic dual feed system that can fire two types of rounds. The gun was developed for the Future Combat Systems (FCS) program and was considered for fielding with the GCV. The canon is interchangeable with either 30 or 40mm barrels, having only six caliber-specific parts to replace

While the 30mm family already has four ammunition types – HE-Incendiary, practice, HE with delay/impact fuse and HE airburst with time setting adjustment. In, the 40 mm family has only two – HE/airburst and APFSDS. ATK is in the process of migrating all types to both calibers

אחרי כל השינויים ירד משקלו של הרכב ל-40 טון בלבד. ברכב מותקנת מערכת הנעה היברידית, וזה אומר שברכב מותקנת מערכת בטריות (Lithium Ion), שמספקת 600 קילוואט AC למנוע החשמלי שמניע את הרכב. הבטריות נטענות בעזרת מנוע טורבו דיזל שמספק 890 כ"ס, ומאפשר קבלת כוח נוסף בשעת הצורך.
היחידה הלבנה שמותקנת מצידו השמאלי של הצריח, הינה יחידת לייזר רב עוצמה שתותקן ברכב בעתיד.

This engine, developed by MTU provides constant charging for the hybrid drive. Two engines were necessary to drive enough power for the 70 ton GCV, but a more modest 49 ton future vehicle will require only one such engine, delivering enough power for propulsion, systems and the laser weapon.


This high capacity Lithium ion battery pack is storing the electrical energy to power two drive engines. This power source feeds all electronic systems on board, and it also packs enough energy for bursts to drive the high energy laser weapon.


The vehicle is driven by two electrical engines running on AC current provided by the li-ion battery through the distribution unit seen on the right. The advantages of electrical propulsion is there is no need to run the engines when the vehicle is idle, while power bursts are managed through the regulator, when needed for performance, therefore running the diesel charger at optimal speed for maximum fuel economy.

The M3D, also know as Dragon M-50, was presented by Central Wisconsin Armory during AUSA 2014 in Washington, D.C.. This machine gun is a lighter, faster and more reliable version of the famous M2HB 12.7x99mm machine gun

In an attempt to compete with the GAU-21/M3M of FNH USA, CWA proposes his own improved version of the venerable M2HB, the M3D. The weapon has a lot of advantages compare to the original M2. The M3D is 13.5 lbs lighter and 1 foot shorter than the M2HB. Its rate of fire is twice (around 950 rounds per minute) of a current version of a .50 caliber M2. Other design enhancements include an improved barrel liner and an integral flash suppressor that eliminates “blooming” in night-vision goggles. It can be mounted on different platforms:ground vehicles, aircraft, riverines, and can also be used from the ground. This machine gun is available in two versions, single-mount or side-by-side twin-mount. In this last configuration, the two guns can be operated independently of each other.

M3D development work began in 2006 with initial availability in 2008. According to CWA owner and M3D inventor Leroy E. Haywood, the gun is currently deployed with “one Middle Eastern country” and one unspecified U.S. Army Special Forces Group. “Now that the U.S. military sees the benefits of ‘shorter, lighter, faster,’ they really like it”, Haywood said. “So we are going to be doing some serious demonstrations for the U.S. military over the next few months. And hopefully growth will continue with our allies in implementing the platform as well”.

CWA proposes a retrofit kit to modify the M2HB, M3P or M3AC and convert them in M3D. CWA also offers different services like maintenance and parts replacement training.
