Iran Successfully Test-Fires Optimized TOR M1 Missile System TEHRAN (FNA)- The Iranian forces on Wednesday successfully test-fired the optimized version of the TOR M1 missile system in the third phase of a series of countrywide wargames. Also during the military drills, codenamed as 'Modafean-e Aseman-e-Velayat 2 (Sky Defenders 2), the middle-range Hawk missile systems, SAM 6 missiles, the Sky Guard battery system, Orlicon anti-aircraft cannons, and 23 mm cannons were all tested successfully. Also, the Air Force fighter-bombers entered enemy zones, caused electronic disruption and fulfilled their missions successfully. The Iranian Armed Forces on Sunday started a series of wargames to enhance preparedness of nuclear sites' air defense units for confrontation against possible enemy attacks. The Iranian Air Force and missile units on Tuesday drilled different tactics for tracing enemy fighter jets and bombers in the second phase of the wargames During the operations, insiders informed defense forces, who were deployed in the maneuver area, of danger and took steps to encounter chemical elements. The drills which will wrap up on Thursday are being held in an area of 600,000 square kilometers and with the participation of the Iranian Army, the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC), Basij and the Police troops. The Iranian Armed Forces functioning against enemy cyber war will also be evaluated in these drills whose main purpose is integrity of the country's defense forces.
