The Deputy Head of the Industry and Research Institute of the Iranian Defense Ministry Mohammad Eslami said Iran would launch Toloo (Sunrise) imaging satellite into space next year.
Eslami said, "The 80kg satellite will be put in the 400km orbit from the Earth's surface and can stay there for three years. It would be the first satellite capable of sending photos with 50-meter resolution from earth. We designed and built satellite over the past 5 years though foreign countries created obstacles. Iran will also design and launch such satellites if any country calls for." Toloo imaging satellite would be launched on the Safir 2A or Simorgh booster.
