I have a LinkSys router wrt54g v5, which I 'am trying to connect over Cables.
First I would like to say that I have an older LinkSys Wireless B router that's working just fine with L2tp and PPtp.
In my Wireless B Router when I setup the PPtp Mode I put in the address and the subnet mask which provides me my Cables - 172.21.x.x subnet 255.255.224.0 and in the gateway field I put in the Address of my Isp-QoS (213.57.22.22), When I configure the L2tp protocol i put in the server address the address of the Isp- QoS (213.57.22.22) I puT IN THE USER AND THE PASSWORD and it works.
So all of this works on my wireless G linksys router!!! But when I connect my NEW ROUTER wrt54g v5 router the stiry is very different. If I try the pptp and putting in the addresses same as in the old router I get a Massage "Ip address and gateway is not at same subnet mask" I know that it is trew but in the old router it works just fine!!! (the same Configuration!!!).
When I try the L2tp protocol I put in the server address of Qos (213.57.22.22) user and password and click on save settings and the I'am going to the Status bar and click on the connect button I see that all of the addresses stay in 0.0.0.0 and after a while i get a massege "Cannot get Ip from the L2tp server".
I tryed to upgrade the latest firmware that is possible on the web and i tryed every thing and every feature. I hope that there is a TOTAH alwer there that would be able to help.
