The USS Kitty Hawk CV-63 was comissioned at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard on April 29, 1961. That's 47 years ago friends. The "Hawk" has been in continuious service since that time. CV-63 has been homeported(foward deployed) in Japan since August 1998.
