פלס"רי השריון הן היחידות הקרביות הבודדות ששמרו על כשירות סיור קלאסיות - ניווט, ניתוב, סיור, איסוף מל"מ, הפעלת אש ולפעמים גם פעילות חי"ר. בעיקרון האימרה אומרת - "ירית, נכשלת", זה לדעתי, הקומנדו במיטבו: עבודה שקטה והפעלת יכולות אש הרבה יותר מסיבית - טנקים, מסוקים, מטוסים, חמ"ם וארטילריה. גם במלחמה ראינו פלס"רי שריון שעשו עבודה טובה מאוד לעומת פלס"רי החי"ר, הצבא יודע להשתמש בהם בעיקר כלוחמי חי"ר מצוינים.

האם רמת הניווט שלהם טובה יותר מאשר גדוד חיר רגיל?
יש מה לתת השוואה לפלסרים של גדודי חיר?(מבחינת משימות שהם מקבלים, הכשרה וכוי)

בהרבה. אבל סיור זה לא רק ניווט.
פלס"ר בכלל ופלס"ר שריון בפרט עוסק (או אמור לעסוק) בפעילות איסוף מודיעינית. גדוד חי"ר עוסק בעיקר בלחימה.
מבחינת לחימת חי"ר של שתי המסגרות, הרי שהפלס"ר היא יחידה יותר קלה בלי נשק מסייע, בעוד לגדוד החי"ר יש עצמת אש כבדה בהרבה.

עקרונית - לא. מכיוון שכשירות החי"ר של היחידות היא דומה, המשימות בגדול יהיו דומות, ומאוד תלויות באיכות הפלוגה (ז"א שינויים שהם תוצאה של מפקדים ולא של מבנה או תקן).
מצד שני, לדעתי, אם משהו יחליט להשתמש בפלס"רים לטובת איסוף מודיעין, הרי שכאן יש להם יתרון גדול על החי"ר בבירור, אבל גם יתרון מסויים על גדודי האיסוף.

אז יהיו גדודי חיר לכול דבר (שמירות/מטבחים/מחסומים וכוי) , דרך אגב היעוד שלהם לא דומה ליעוד של מוד"ש?(איסוף מודיעין ויכולת להגן על עצמם)

וקראתי באחד הדיונים בפורום צבא וביטחון שיש כוונה להפוך אותם לפלסר ככול הפלסרים (כלומר לשנות יעוד) , האם זה נכון?

תגדיר מה זה פלס"ר ככל הפלס"רים. אם אתה שואל האם יש כוונה שיזניחות את כשירות הסיור לטובת "קומנדו", אז כן. יש משיכה תמידית לזה בגלל אופי הבט"ש והמשימות שהם מקבלים בו. אבל מצד שני, קשה לי להאמין שמח"טי השריון יסכימו להנחתה כזו של היכולות.

לא הבנתי את המשפט הזה:

" יש משיכה תמידית לזה בגלל אופי הבט"ש והמשימות שהם מקבלים בו"

אז הם כן מקבלים משימות בעלי אופי מסויים?

אני מקוה שהבנתי נכון אבל הם מקבלים כתוצאה מאיכות הפלוגה בכול מחזור ולא על בסיס תקן ? או שלא הבנתי נכון.. ודרך אגב יש להם גם הקצאות יותר טובות מלגדודי חיר? מבחינת נשק לדוגמא? או שפשוט אפשר להגיד שהם גדוד חיר רגיל בעל יעוד מסוים לזמני מלחמה?(בפשטות כמובן)

ושוב תודה על ההסברים(משום מה באתרים של אותם יחידות תמיד הכול מוצג אחרת)

1. יש נטיה לתת להם משימות חי"ר ולכן המשיכה היא להתמחות בחי"ר ולא סיור.
2. יש להם הקצאות שונות - הציוד שלהם מכוון לסיור כי זו המטרה של היחידה. אז יכול להיות שתראה פחות ציוד חי"ר ופריצה קלאסיים ויותא אמצעי תצפית והסוואה.
3. לצורך בט"ש הם פלוגת חי"ר רגילה. לצורך מלחמה, הם פלוגת סיור.

לגבי 3...
בניגוד לפלס"ר חי"ר שבזמן בט"ש הוא לא פלוגת חי"ר רגילה? הרי בעצם הפלס"ר של חטיבות החי"ר מבצעות פעולות חי"ר רגילות... מעצרים/מארבים וכדומה... גם גדודי החי"ר מבצעים אותו דבר.


האם פלס"ר שיריון עושה מחסומים/שמירות/תורנויות כמו כל גדוד חי"ר רגיל, או כמו פלס"ר חי"ר מבצע רק דברים "איכותיים" ובשאר הזמן יושב בבסיס הקבע שלו?

פלס"ר חי"ר מקבל לרוב פעולות איכותיות יותר מהגדודים בגלל שלרוב הוא מאומן ומצוייד טוב יותר (אבל לחליפין הוא איבד כמעט לחלוטין את יכולת הסיור שלו).
המשימות של פלס"רי השריון (בסדיר) משתנות. לפעמים הוא מקבל מיצוב של פלוגת משימות ולפעמים כפלוגת בט"ש. תזכור שלפלס"ר חי"ר יש גם כשירות לוט"ר מסויימת, מה שאין לפלס"ר שריון.
