According to Wikipedia, GADSAR NACHAL is the only GADSAR that contains an additinal Company called

פלוגת תצפית וצלפים (פלת"צ)

That is in ADDITION to the usual
הפלחה"ן, הפלס"ר והפלנ"ט
Is there any truth to that, and what would be the reason for it?Can anybody comment on that

Wikipedia is not 100% reliable, espefcially when it comes to info on the Israeli military since every person can write what they feel like...

during the past decade with the new trend of turning the Gadasrim into Urbinized units (and ttotally loosing their abilities in what they should be doing) each brigade commander started to make up new job descriptions and titles. At the time it was GADSAR Nachal that decided to take its Palchik (signals comapny) and make it a "special surveillence and sniper comany- somethign that leaves the Palsar in a situation where thir no longer needed for their job and makes them, super elite commandos with ski maklss who arrest 30 yr old bad guys)..
From what i understand they stopped this thign after the war and relized it was nothign bt a nice nother glitch thata commander created so he can feel he's commanding somkething bigger and better..

after the war, and with Eshkenazi in, all these new special erlite companies were disbanded, and things are starting to go back to the way they were pre-chalutz and even mofaz.
either way not to get to hyped up about this- a surveillance company in a Gadsar would not be anythig special. in most cases its guys who idnt finsih their training reigm with in the Gadsar, or came from other gdudim. The are no different then any gdud whos in deployment and surveing ther area but may have a little bit of an advantage weapon and equipment wise and just a more prestigous name due to the fat that theyr under the Gadsar's command...
again, nothign to crazy. would be as if the gadsar created its own special signals company... thena special drivers company... and a special cheff's company.. it never ends.

this has been discussed before in the Forum (cant find the link) about the evolution of the Palsar from a Recon and Surveillence unit to a "Commando" CT Wasach rambo unit which lacks any kind of open field capability but do a great job adding lasers and whistles to their weapons and arresting people in YESHA.

As far as i know things have calmed down a bit andit's changed foer the better altho id recommend you asked someone in the Forum since im not in the Country at the moment...
