לצערי הרב , לאחר 9 שנים של עבודה נאמנה , הלך לי המחשב עם הלינוקס ( הלך הלוח אם + המעבד )...

אז החלטתי ללכת על VMWARE בינתיים , עד שאני אשיג לוח ומעבד כלשהם.

אז אמרתי לעצמי ,אם כבר VMWARE , שברור לי שיהיה ממש איטי אז כבר נלך על GENTOO הזריזה והקלילה, ובדרך הארוכה והיסודית, כי ככה אני תמיד מעדיף ...
כרגע אני תקוע עדיין ב STAGE 1 , לפני הקטע שעושים emerge ל system....
הוא מחליט להכשל לי,
חשוב לציין, אני עולה דרך livecd ועושה chroot ל"מחיצות" שלי. boot swap ו / .
עושה mount ל proc , וכל מה שצריך ומסדר env
env-update && source /etc/profile

emerge portage
עשיתי ועבר בהצלחה

עשיתי
emerge --oneshot --nodeps gcc-config && USE="-* build bootstrap" emerge linux-headers && emerge --nodeps gdbm libperl perl && \
/usr/portage/scripts/bootstrap.sh

לפי ההגיון אני אמור ללכת לבדוק את הקובץ make.conf כי לפי מה שהבנתי שם מוגדר הקומפילר (?)

אבל אני לא ממש יודע במה לגעת שם.

אתה בתוך ה chroot של S1 לפי ההוראות? כי זה לא נראה כך...

בנוסף לא הבנתי את הדברים האלה שאתה מנסה להתקין לפני ה bootstrap - מאיפה הוצאת את זה?

אני בתוך ה chroot בוודאות, הוצאתי את כל זה מאיזה מדריך שמצאתי בגוגל , כמובן שהמדריך הזה לא מושלם וכל שלב שם צריך לפתור בעיות לבד.. , אבל זו בעיה שאין לי מושג מאיזה כיוון לתקוף אותה כבר.

הנה השלבים שאני עושה כשאני עולה מ LIVE CD ורוצה להגיע ל S1
mount -t proc proc /mnt/gentoo/proc
mount -o bind /dev /mnt/gentoo/dev
chroot /mnt/gentoo /bin/bash
env-update && source /etc/profile

יש סיבה שאתה מטייל לגוגל שיש את http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/faq.xml#stage12 ? (ולא הייתי מתעלם ממה שכתוב שם עוד לפני ההוראות - לתשומת ליבך...)
