War is only option to topple Syrian leader, colonel As’aad OCTOBER 8, 2011 ⋅ 9:38 AM ⋅ POST A COMMENT FILED UNDER ASAAD, ASSAD, SYRIA, TURKEY The most senior officer to defect from Syria’s armed forces has said there is no option but to topple President Bashar al-Assad by force and he was directing a military uprising against the Syrian leader from within Turkey. Colonel Riad al-As’aad, who is now living under Turkish government protection in Hatay province on the Syrian border, said some 15,000 soldiers, including officers, had already deserted, and he was waiting to move his command inside Syria.

נחשף נסיון התנקשות בבנו של שר לבנוני,לא נמסרו פרטים על המטרה וברור שהקשר עדיין לא סוכל.
BEIRUT: Interior Minister Marwan Charbel revealed Friday that Lebanese authorities have information about a plot to assassinate the son of a Cabinet minister. Charbel said the information was obtained after the Interior Ministry received a letter a while ago in which the sender – an African national – said a man had asked him to take part in the assassination of one of the sons of a government official.
