Pedophilie : le proces fleuve d'Angers s'est ouvert

Le plus grand proces d'assises par le nombre d'accusés jamais organise en France s'est ouvert jeudi 3 mars, a Angers, en presence des 66 personnes renvoyees dans une vaste affaire de pedophilie et d'inceste, qualifiee de "monstrueuse" par les parties.

In Frankreich beginnt heute der großte Kinderschander-Prozess in der Justizgeschichte des Landes. Vor dem Gericht im westfranzosischen Angers müssen sich 66 Angeklagte wegen Inzests, sexuellen Missbrauchs und Zwangsprostitution ihrer eigenen Kinder verantworten. Die 45 Opfer, zur Tatzeit zwischen sechs Monate und 12 Jahre alt, erlebten von Januar 1999 bis Februar 2002 Gruppenvergewaltigungen und schlimme Übergriffe, die Polizeibeamte und Anwalte als "unaussprechlich" qualifizierten. Der Prozess soll vier Monate dauern. Den Hauptangeklagten drohen bis zu 20 Jahre Haft. Das Urteil wird Ende Juni erwartet.Zwei Videos....

Major Child Abuse Trial Opens in France

March 3 -ANGERS, France. In a historic French town, dozens of adults are tried on child rape, abuse charges. Sixty-six men and women are standing trial in western France in a harrowing and massive pedophilia case.The criminal trial, one of the largest ever in modern French history, opened Thursday in the small, historic village of Angers.The defendants -- 39 men and 27 women -- were brought before the court. One by one, they were asked to stand and give their age, profession and home address. Dozens of the defendants are accused of prostituting children and babies in exchange for food packets and small amounts of money.The case centers on the alleged rape and other abuse of 45 children in a low-income neighborhood in Angers from 1999-2000.Three people face life imprisonment if convicted of raping minors under age 15 and of active participation in the prostitution ring. Another 36 people face up to 20 years imprisonment for similar charges. Nineteen face a maximum of either seven years or ten years in prison for sexual abuse and corrupting minors.The last eight defendants risk three years imprisonment for allegedly failing to report the crimes.Thirty of the accused are parents of victims.The hearings, expected to last four months, are taking place in a specially built courtroom.
