I am planning on joining the IDF in the end of the year. I have a plate in my ankle due to a slip and fall injury from 5 years ago. I am completely healthy and run 5 days a week with weights I have no pain and I am in the best shape of my life. I am aiming for a SF unit in the IDF. Anybody know any information on what my profile can look like if it will be effected even. Or if anyone knows anyone who has experience with something like this? Also is there any type of documents I can bring to have this dismissed, this is not a big deal I have so much physical fitness and I have been training for a quite some time it does not bother me i just dont want a doctor to make my profile low for something so stupid

You condition should be (as far as I know):
1. At least 2 years after the injury
2. The plate has been removed
3. There is no limitation in your leg's movement

** Otherwise, I know only about P.64

Anyway, you should call the medical unit in your recruitment office and ask them. Please inform us!

the way tzahal works, doesnt have sense sometimes. There is a book in the recruitment office, and accurding to the book and your medical "condition" the doctor gives the profile, no matter how good you feel. It doesnt mean you cant raise it if its low, but it can be a hard task. I beleive u will have 64, but life is filled with suprises, and i could be wrong. Good luck...
