The Biblical End-Times Picture

## 1. Deception begins

1. Jesus warns about deception — Matthew 24:4-5
“Take heed that no man deceive you.
For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.”
— Matthew 24:4-5 KJV

2. Great deception — Matthew 24:24
“For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.”
— Matthew 24:24 KJV

3. People who reject Jesus — John 3:18-19
“He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.”
— John 3:18-19 KJV

4. Jesus says He is the truth — John 14:6
“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
— John 14:6 KJV

5. Jesus warns about false Christs — Mark 13:21-22
“And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is there; believe him not:
For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.”
— Mark 13:21-22 KJV

6. Jesus' final warning about those who don't truly know Him — Matthew 7:21-23
“Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven...”

Jesus repeatedly warns that deception will be one of the major characteristics of the period preceding His return.

False Christs and false prophets will appear. Some will perform impressive signs and wonders. People will be told, in effect, **“Here is Christ”** or **“There He is.”** Jesus specifically warns His followers not to believe them.
**Matthew 24:4-5, 11, 23-26**

This is important because the end-times picture begins not simply with wars or disasters, but with **deception**.

---

## 2. Powerful signs, false wonders and a great deception

Paul describes the coming **man of lawlessness**, whose appearance will be accompanied by Satanic power, signs, lying wonders and deception.

The second beast in Revelation—later called the **false prophet**—also performs extraordinary signs. One of the examples given is calling fire down from heaven.

The purpose of these signs is not merely entertainment. They are used to **deceive people and lead them into allegiance and worship of the beast**.

**2 Thessalonians 2:3-12; Revelation 13:11-15**

Paul's warning is particularly strong: people are deceived because they **“received not the love of the truth.”**

“For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.”
**Mark 13:22:

2 Corinthians 11:14
“Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.”

2 Thessalonians 2:9
“power and signs and lying wonders”

Revelation 13:13-14
The second beast performs great signs, including making fire come down from heaven, and uses these signs to deceive the inhabitants of the earth.

Ufo's, Uap's demonic influence and manifestation.
Modern mass entertainment, celebrity culture, influencers, YouTube, social media and Hollywood can create enormous cultural influence and can shape people's ideas about morality, identity, salvation, heroes and the future.
Stories involving superheroes, “saviors,” artificial worlds, transhumanism or humanity becoming its own salvation can therefore be **interesting cultural parallels to examine**.
So called experts like analysts, scientists.

# 3. People increasingly reject the promise of Christ's return

Peter writes that **“in the last days”** scoffers will come, asking:

> **“Where is the promise of his coming?”**

They will argue that everything continues as it always has.

Peter answers that God's apparent delay is not forgetfulness or failure. God is patient and gives people opportunity to repent.

But Peter then says:

> **“The day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night.”**

**2 Peter 3:3-10**

**The closer the world comes to the fulfillment of God's purposes, the Bible expects some people to become increasingly dismissive of Christ's return.**

---

# 4. Wars, unrest and disasters

Jesus warns of:

* wars and rumors of wars,
* nation rising against nation,
* kingdom against kingdom,
* famines,
* earthquakes,
* troubles and persecution.

But Jesus calls these things **“the beginning of sorrows”** or **“birth pains.”**

**Matthew 24:6-8; Luke 21:10-11**

Today we can observe wars, geopolitical instability, droughts, earthquakes, extreme weather and concerns about water and food security around the world.

---

# 5. Increasing persecution of Christians

Jesus says that His followers will be hated, persecuted and betrayed.

Some will be killed because of their testimony.

He also warns that:

> **“many shall be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.”**

Yet Jesus gives a promise:

> **“he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.”**

**Matthew 24:9-13**

Revelation likewise describes believers being killed because of their testimony and calls God's people to patient endurance and faithfulness to Jesus.

**Revelation 6:9-11; 13:7; 14:12**

### Examples of places where Christians face severe persecution

* Nigeria
* Sudan
* Democratic Republic of the Congo
* Mali
* Burkina Faso
* Syria
* Pakistan
* North Korea
* Somalia
* Yemen
* Eritrea
* Iran
* Afghanistan

# 6. The gospel is proclaimed throughout the world

Jesus gives a remarkable statement:

> **“And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.”**

**Matthew 24:14**

This is one of the clearest global elements in Jesus' end-times teaching.

The development of worldwide communication means that the Gospel can now be transmitted across borders almost instantly through:

* television,
* radio,
* satellites,
* smartphones,
* websites,
* social media,
* YouTube,
* translation technology and digital media.

---

# 7. The “abomination of desolation”

Jesus refers directly to Daniel's prophecy:

> **“When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet…”**

**Matthew 24:15-21**

The relevant passages in Daniel include:

**Daniel 9:27; 11:31; 12:11**

Jesus associates this event with an extraordinary period of tribulation.

---

# 8. The man of lawlessness / Antichrist / beast

The Bible uses several related but not necessarily identical descriptions:

### Antichrist

Found especially in **1 John and 2 John**.

John speaks both of **“antichrist”** and of **many antichrists**.

“Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.”
— 1 John 2:18 KJV

“Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist…”
— 1 John 2:22

“Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist…”
— 1 John 4:2-3

### Man of lawlessness

Described in **2 Thessalonians 2**.

He opposes God, exalts himself and presents himself as God.

### Beast

Described particularly in **Revelation 13, 17 and 19**.

### Daniel's beasts and rulers

Described in **Daniel 7-12**.

Paul says of the man of lawlessness:

> **“he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.”**

**2 Thessalonians 2:3-4**

Many young persons all over the world are antichrists due of thinking and being manipulated my social media.
The same young persons are extreme addicted to the occult and horror movies.

# 9. The beast demands allegiance and worship

This is a crucial part of Revelation.

The second beast causes people to worship the first beast and its image.

The issue is therefore not merely politics or economics or military ties.

It is **worship and allegiance**.

**Revelation 13:12, 15**

Revelation 14 gives an even stronger warning: those who worship the beast and receive his mark are contrasted with those who **remain faithful to Jesus**.

**Revelation 14:9-12**

---

# 10. The mark of the beast, buying and selling, and 666

This is one of the most important passages to study carefully.

Revelation says that the beast causes people to receive a mark:

> **“in their right hand, or in their foreheads.”**

It then says:

> **“no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.”**

And finally:

> **“his number is Six hundred threescore and six.”**

**Revelation 13:16-18**

So the biblical picture contains three connected elements:

**1. Identification/mark**
**2. Economic participation — buying and selling**
**3. Allegiance to the beast — connected with his name and number**

Examples include:

* birth certificates
* national identity documents
* passports
* Social Security or other government identification numbers
* bank accounts
* credit and debit cards
* cashless payment systems
* digital currencies
* cryptocurrency
* biometric identification
* facial recognition
* palm scanning
* digital identity
* implanted chips
* centralized digital payment systems

Revelation connects the mark specifically with **the beast, his name/number, worship and allegiance**.

This distinction is extremely important when investigating modern technology.

---

# 11. 666 and modern symbols

The number **666 is explicitly given by Revelation 13:18**.

It says that the person with understanding should **“count”** or calculate the number of the beast.

This means the number deserves serious investigation.

It is reasonable to examine whether modern organizations, symbols, names, logos or systems contain deliberate numerical or symbolic patterns.

---

# 12. Knowledge increases at the time of the end

Daniel gives another remarkable statement:

> **“But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.”**

**Daniel 12:4 (KJV)**

* scientific knowledge,
* global travel,
* telecommunications,
* computing,
* biotechnology,
* space technology,
* digital information,
* financial technology,
* artificial intelligence.

The Bible itself places this statement within Daniel's discussion of **“the time of the end.”**

**Daniel 12:4-10**

---

# 13. The bear and the three ribs

Daniel 7 describes a second beast:

> **“another, like to a bear, and it raised up itself on one side, and it had three ribs in the mouth of it between the teeth of it.”**

The voice then says:

> **“Arise, devour much flesh.”**

**Daniel 7:5**

Russia, because the bear has long been used as a national symbol associated with Russia. Three ribs correspond to Ukrainian trident army symbol.

---

# 14. God's judgments

Revelation describes escalating judgments upon the world, including:

* plagues,
* darkness,
* waters being affected,
* intense heat,
* earthquakes,
* celestial disturbances,
* death and destruction.

These are presented especially through the:

**seven seals,
seven trumpets,
and seven bowls.**

**Revelation 6-16**

### The number seven

Revelation repeatedly uses the number **seven**:

* seven churches,
* seven seals,
* seven trumpets,
* seven bowls,
* seven spirits,
* seven heads,
* seven mountains,
* all seven continents involved **Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, South America, Australia/Oceania and Antarctica.**

---

# 15. Babylon the Great

Revelation 17-18 describes **“Babylon the Great.”**

She is portrayed as:

* enormously wealthy,
* influential over kings,
* connected with international commerce,
* morally corrupt,
* associated with luxury,
* associated with persecution,
* sitting upon many waters,
* and ultimately judged by God.

**Revelation 17-18**

Revelation 17:15 explains that the waters are associated with **peoples, multitudes, nations and languages**.

This is important because “many waters” does not necessarily mean literal rivers or oceans.

### Babylon the Great is the United States of America (America is a girl-woman name)

They point to things such as:

* enormous economic influence,
* international trade,
* cultural influence,
* military power,
* influence over other nations,
* luxury and wealth,
* New York and international finance,
* America's symbolic role in global culture.

Revelation 17:1-2 John sees a woman called “Babylon the Great”:
“The great whore that sitteth upon many waters:

Revelation 17:15 actually explains what those waters mean:
“The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.”

The New York **Statue of Liberty** is this interpretation because its crown has seven rays, spikes, mountains on it's crown!
* New York is the first city that organized the first ever lgbt+ trans parade that created "rivers of parades" or "many waters" in the entire world!
With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.”

---

# 16. The final gathering for war

Revelation describes demonic spirits going out to the kings of the earth and gathering them for war.
The spirits looked like frogs could very possible be the grey aliens.

The place is called:

> **“Armageddon.”**

**Revelation 16:13-16**

This is followed by the climactic intervention of God.

---

# 17. Christ returns

2 Thessalonians 2:1-12 — KJV
1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,

2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.

3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?

6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.

7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

This is the great turning point of the entire biblical story.

Jesus returns.

Matthew describes the Son of Man coming **“in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.”**

He gathers His elect.

**Matthew 24:29-31**

Revelation 19 portrays Christ as the conquering King.

He defeats the beast and the earthly forces gathered against Him.

**Revelation 19:11-21**

The final victory therefore does not belong to the beast, Babylon, Satan, technology, governments or human power.

**It belongs to Jesus Christ.**

---

# 18. The beast and false prophet are judged

Revelation states that:

> **“the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet…”**

and that both are cast into the lake of fire.

**Revelation 19:20**

This is the direct end of their authority.

---

# 19. Satan is finally defeated

Revelation describes Satan being bound for a period, followed later by his final release and rebellion.

God then brings the final judgment.

Satan is ultimately cast into the lake of fire.

**Revelation 20:7-10**

---

# 20. Resurrection and final judgment

Revelation then describes the great white throne.

The dead stand before God.

Books are opened.

Another book—the **Book of Life**—is opened.

Those whose names are not found in the Book of Life face the second death.

**Revelation 20:11-15**

The final issue is therefore not merely whether someone correctly identified the Antichrist, Russia, Babylon, cryptocurrency or a particular technology.

The ultimate biblical question is:

**Whose side do we belong to?**

---

# 21. New heaven and new earth

And this is where the story ultimately ends—not with the Antichrist.

Not with Babylon.

Not with 666.

Not with war.

Not with technology.

**With God.**

Revelation describes:

* a new heaven,
* a new earth,
* the New Jerusalem,
* God dwelling with His people,
* death being no more,
* no more mourning,
* no more crying,
* no more pain.

**Revelation 21-22**

The final destination of God's people is therefore not merely survival through the end times.

It is **the presence of God forever**.

---

**Do not be deceived.
Love the truth.
Remain faithful to Jesus.
Endure to the end.**

---

Satan took the rainbow and changed its meaning and associated with LGBTQ+ Pride.
