ההבדלים הם אינדיבידואליים לפלוגות ומחלקות ואפילו כיתות ספציפיות. יש מספיק "שפיל" למפקדים להטביע את חותמם.

עם זאת, ככלל, ליח"ט יש טירונות קשה יותר יחסית, בגלל שכמות האנשים בצוות יח"ט היא קטנה בהרבה ממחלקה (למרות שהם מקבלים כמעט את אותם משאבים).
