מה תפקידו של מש"ק מודיעין בלחימה? הוא עוזר לקמ"ן.
בלחימה, הקמ"ן נדרש לאסוף מידע מיחידות המשנה ומהרמה הממונה, לסנן את הטפל, להוציא משמעויות ולפזר את המודיעין ליחידות המשנה. ברור שהוא לא מסוגל לבצע זאת בעצמו, ולכך הוא צריך עוזרים. מי שיאזין בקביעות לתדרי המודיעין, יעדכן מפות ויסב את תשומת ליבו למידע רלוונטי.
מכיוון שמקומו של הקמ"ן הוא ליד המג"ד, קרוב לקו הקדמי, המש"ק צריך להיות מסוגל לתפקד כלוחם כחלק ממסגרת לחימה.
עכשיו, בשיגרה הקמ"ן לרוב משתלט על כל העבודה בעצמו, ואז נוצר מצב בו המש"קים די לא עושים כלום. פה זה כבר תלוי בבן האדם.
