הוא פשוט השתמש בשם שהיה לו מוכר, השם אל-מטולה היה מקובל בביקעת עיון. צריך לזכרו שהאזור היה פעם ללא גבול וחקלאים מטולאים עיבדו חלקות שנמצאות היום בלבנון ולהפך.
אגב, עד היום יש ישראלים שמחזיקים קושאנים על קרקעות שנמצאות באזור מארג' עיון (הארכיאולוג בן דוב הוא אחד מהם).

נתקלתי בהרבה מקרים של אנשים שהשתמשו במאגרי מידע של גופים אנטי ישראליים שבהם יישובים ותיקים בישראל כונו בכל שם מלבד שמם האמיתי, כולל שמות מהתקופה העותמאנית. לא נדיר באתרים מסויימים (כמו "בויקוט ישראל") לקרוא על "ואדי חנין" (נס ציונה), "עיון קרא" (ראשון) או "דיראן" (רחובות). כל השמות הערביים הם של נקודות ולא של ישובים שהיו קיימים לפני הקמת המושבות. התופעה של "התעלמות" מכל מה שמריח ישראלי גם כשדנים בישראל תפסה תאוצה מאז שנות ה-90, ואם תעלה google earth את ההערות שנועצים גולשים, תראה שכל ישראל מרושתת בשמות של ישובים ערביים שאינם קיימים וחלק לא שטן מהם מעולם לא היו קיימים (כמו על איזו גבעה באזור שדה בוקר שאפילו בתצלום לויין אפשר לראות שאפילו מדורה לא עשו עליה). זה "מפעל" של לא מעט אנשים שפועלים מטעם עצמם והם פעילים פי כמה מכל אדם אחר שינעץ הערות מכל סיבה אחרת. מי שקורא מקורות כאלה, מתרשם באמת שיש שתי שכבות לארץ הזאת והמלאכותית היא הישראלית.

במקרה של נס ציונה האזור שמאחורי התחנה המרכזית "אגד" היה הכפר המדובר ועד היום שרידי בתיו עומדים ומאוכלסים (יש עוד הרבה ישובים כאלה).
אין טעם להיכנס לויכוח פוליטי אבל יש טעם בללמד היסטוריה נכונה.

נפלת על מישהו שיודע דבר או שניים...

ה"כפר" שהיה סביב בית הכנסת המסגדי של נס ציונה היה למעשה "התנחלות" ערבית שהוקמה שם בשנות ה-30. אם אתה רוצה לדעת מה היה באזור התחנה המרכזית בנס ציונה לפני 1929, תבדוק תצא"ות בספר "מבט ועוד מבט על ארץ ישראל" של ב.ז. קידר (לא היה שם כלום - שדה פתוח. אם כבר מחפשים יישוב ערבי בנס ציונה זהו סרפנד אל חרב שהיה ליד יד אליעזר, או שתי וילות של אפנדי עשיר שאחת בתחום המכון הביולוגי ואחת ליד גבעת מיכאל).

"עיון קרא", "דייראן", "מולייבס", "זמארין", "ואדי רזינאת" ועוד, הם כולם שמות שהודבקו ליישובים יהודיים שבמקרים מסויימים ירשו כמה בקתות אריסים שמכרו אותן בכסף ובמקרים אחרים היו סתם שמות כלליים של מקום לא מיושב.

מי שקורא לנס ציונה "ואדי חנין" מנסה להמציא מצב שמעולם לא היה קיים בפועל פרט לזרגון השגור אצל הממשל הצבאי הבריטי שהשתמש בשמות האלה מסיבות פוליטיות גרידה (והתושבים ענו להם בשם המקורי).

בין התנחלות לישוב ?

בגלל שנפלתי על אחד שיודע אז אני ארחיב.
באחת ממפות הגושים של נס ציונה הכפר וביתיו מופיעים ורשומים.
תקרא לזה איך שאתה רוצה זה לא משנה כלום.

בבקשה: נס ציונה מודל 1917. הפרבר הערבי הספורדי של נס ציונה שאתה מזכיר, נבנה קצת שמאלה ממרכז התמונה. אם לזה שגורמים אנטי ישראליים מכנים עיר ע"ש פרבר חוקי למחצה שנבנה בה 40 שנה אחרי ייסודה, אתה קורא "לא משנה" אז אני לא מתווכח. בכל מקרה את נס ציונה כינו חלק מהבריטים "ואדי חנין" כבר ב-1917 ע"ש העמק שבו נמצא אזה"ת שלה היום והכינוי היה פשוט מחוסר נכונות להשתמש בשמות עבריים (אבל לכנות את נבלוס "שכם" לא היית להם בעיה...). ערב טוב.

התנחלות (קרואן וחצי) שהתחילה לפני 1917 נראת שונה ב1948
כמה שנים עברו? ונוסיף "קצת" ריבוי טבעי תסכים איתי שזה נהפך לישוב.
גם אם לא תסכים האנגלים שלהם היתה את הסמכות קבעו כך.
