שליח ארה"ב למזרח התיכון נפגש עם מפקד הצבא הלבנוני והצהיר על כוונת ארה"ב לסייע ללבנון להגן על גבולותיה .
בשיחה דנו בדרכים להגברת שיתוף הפעולה בין הצבאות.
