Jumblat: No Information about Israeli War on Lebanon Druze leader Walid Jumblat said he has no information about an Israeli war on Lebanon. "There is no confirmed information about the possibility of an Israeli war on Lebanon soon, but analysis leads to this conclusion," Jumblat said in remarks published Friday by al-Akhbar newspaper. He said Arab-Israeli Knesset member Saeed Naffaa has informed him that Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu is seeking to form a national unity government that will include Kadima party. "If this happened, it means he (Netanyahu) intends to launch a new war on Lebanon," Jumblat explained. He pointed out that "such an adventure will not be easy and the results will be negative on Israel." Turning to the Palestinian conflict, Jumblat said the Progressive Socialist Party was preparing for a conference on Palestinian civil rights, stressing that "Palestine is not a burden." Probe into Haret Hreik Blast Confirms Booby-trap Parcel Hypothesis Media reports on Friday said the probe into the explosion that rocked Hamas headquarters in Beirut's southern suburbs two weeks ago has been completed and investigators appeared convinced that a booby-trap parcel was the cause of the blast. Pan-Arab daily Asharq al-Awsat on Friday said Lebanese military judge Rahif Ramadan has informed Palestinian officials that the explosion was caused by a booby-trap parcel targeting Hamas and "was not caused by technical error during training." It quoted judicial sources as saying, however, that some data still needs to be clarified before the prosecutor issues a charge sheet. Beirut, 08 Jan 10, 10:19
