מה יתרונו של הבאפלו על D9?

ראשית, הבאפלו הוא כלי אופני ולא זחלי, ולכן לא פוגע בכבישים שעליהם הוא נושא. זאת בניגוד ל D9 שהזחלים שלו יוצרים חריצים בכביש.

בנוסף, לחיל ההנדסה האמריקני יש בעיות קשות בכל הנוגע ללוגיסטיקה של הדחפורים הכבדים. אינני יודע כמה דחפורי D9 משוריינים נמצאים בידי צבא ארה"ב אבל בעת תחילת המלחמה (מרץ-אפריל 2003) היו ברשותם רק 12 דחפורים מדגם D9R שמוגנו על ידי ישראל. הדחפורים זכו לחוות דעת חיוביות ביותר והחיילים ביקשו לרכוש עוד דחפורים ממוגנים. מעיון בדו"חות של חיל ההנדסה על המבצע עולה שלחיל היו בעיות חמורות בכל הנוגע לציוד ורק"מ: רוב הרק"מ והצמ"ה בחיל היה מיושן ובמצב תחזוקתי גרוע (הנגמ"ש הראשי שלהם היה ה M-113, הצמ"ה כלל דחפורי D7 ישנים ודחפורים פתוחים), יתרה מכך - בגלל משקלו הרב של ה D9, רק מוביל טנקים (בחה"ן ארה"ב קראו לו HET - Heavy Equipment Transporter) היה מסוגל להעמיס אותו ולנייד אותו בין הזירות, אך לחיל ההנדסה פשוט לא היו מספיק מובילים, כך שזה היה "צוואר הבקבוק" בפרישת הדחפורים.

לא ממש ברור על איזה תמונות אתה שואל. בנוסף הפורום הזה קיים כדי לצבור מידע ולא רק כדי ענות על שאלות. אם התמונות לא יהיו על השרת הן יעלמו ומי שיחפש מידע לא יוכל להבין את התשובה.

אגב - לגבי ה F 16 המצריים... נתקלתי כבר בעבר בתמונות שבהן נראה קצה זנב המטוס צבוע באדום הייתכן כי מדובר בסימון טקטי המיועד להבדיל בין המטוסים המצריים לבין מטוסים "אחרים" מאותו הדגם אשר נמצאים באיזור???...

המטוסים צבועים במרובעים כתומים/אדומים בוהקים על הכנפיים, גב המטוס והזנב, כדי להבדילם מאף-16 אחרים (ישראלים, ירדנים וכו').
