I am writing this piece a few hours after an American-supplied Israeli F-16 bomber launched laser-guided missiles at the home of a Palestinian lawmaker in downtown Gaza City. The missiles destroyed the home of Khalil al Hayya, a lawmaker, killing eight people, including his wife and six of his family members.
The bombing was not a collateral damage but a deliberate act of criminality designed to inflict "shock and awe" on a people thoroughly tormented by 40 years of occupation, savagery and systematic persecution.
The annihilation of al-Hayya's family is not an anomaly or an isolated incident. It represents the "normal order of things" in the context of the Zionist occupation of Palestine.
During its Gaza campaign last year, the Israeli army and air force exterminated entire Palestinian families by bombing their homes in the quiet hours before dawn, always under the morally corrupt pretext that a certain family member, whose ideas are unacceptable to Israel or incompatible with Zionism, was lodging in the targeted home.
The same pattern of murderous behavior was heavily employed throughout the Israeli aggression on Lebanon last summer when Israeli pilots were instructed to bomb innocent civilians while sleeping in their homes.

Israeli military and political leaders (Israel is an army with a state, not a state with an army) often seek to justify the pornographic killings of Palestinian civilians by citing the firing of the nearly totally ineffective, even innocuous, homemade Qassam projectiles on Israeli settlements outside Gaza. (after firing a hundred projectiles, not a single Israeli was killed or seriously injured).
The firing of these light projectiles, which produce a lot of noise and smoke, but little else, is very often a desperate effort by Palestinian resistance groups, particularly Hamas, to create a modicum of deterrence that would make Israel stop or scale down its daily acts of murder against the Palestinians.
However, the main motive for the present bloodbath in Gaza seems to be the Israeli government's desire to apply the lessons of last year's war on Lebanon and make sure the enemy is decisively crushed.
In other words, the real goal is to achieve political rehabilitation, especially in the aftermath of the Winograd Report which blamed the government for mismanaging the war (this is despite the death of nearly 1300 Lebanese civilians and utter destruction of the Lebanese infrastructure by the Israeli war machine).
The nonchalant and cowardly murder of Palestinian civilians by F-16 bombers and Merkava tanks is not the only manifestation of Israel's Nazi-like behavior.
Indeed, given Israel's general treatment of non-Jews in Palestine-Israel, any observer can easily notice systematic patterns that can be compared with Nazis thinking and behavior.
Let us cite some examples from the Israeli press during the past 48 hours.
The Israeli newspaper Haáretz on 20 May reported that the Shin Bet was reasserting its "right" to scuttle even legal acts by Israel's non-Jewish citizens if these acts were viewed as constituting a danger to "Israeli values."

The values to which Shin Bet is alluding have nothing to do with universally-accepted ideals such as freedom of speech, human rights, civil liberties and democracy. The Shin Bet is actually talking about "Israel's right to remain Jewish." Hence, if and when an Israeli Arab citizen demands that equal treatment irrespective of race, religion or sex, he or she will be viewed as a threat to Israeli values and would consequently be hounded, suppressed and imprisoned. (The case of Arab Knesset member Azmi Beshara is a classical example of how Israel understand democracy.) (1)
The Haáretz report quoted Shin Bet head, Yuval Diskin as saying that "the Shin Bet is entrusted with safeguarding national interests vital to state security and to promoting Jewish democratic values."
In other words, any demand for equality by Israel's non-Jewish citizens ( 23-25% of the population) would be treated as a threat to Israeli values and therefore as felony punishable by prolonged imprisonment.
If this happens in Israel proper, the so-called only true democracy in the Middle East, imagine the situation in the West Bank where the Israeli state and army are using manifestly criminal Talmudic Jewish settlers to poison the daily life of Palestinian civilians by way of denying them access to their homes, schools, lands and businesses as well as harassing and attacking them and their children nearly on a daily basis.
To be sure, this is not the type of neighborhood troubles or youth altercations that could occur anywhere in the world. It is rather a deliberate and well devised plan by the Israeli state and its various apparatuses, that is aimed at driving the native Palestinians out of their homes and property.
This criminal policy, widely reported by the Israeli press and human rights organizations operating in the occupied Palestinian territories, has eventually forced thousands of Palestinians in Hebron to abandon their homes and businesses.
The quiet ethnic cleansing in Hebron has been going on since an American Jewish terrorist, Baruch Goldstein, murdered 29 Palestinians as they were praying at the Ibrahimi Mosque in the citys old quarter on 25 February, 1994.

But, instead of punishing the settlers, who supported and identified with Goldstein, the Israeli army adopted a policy of tormenting the Palestinians and narrowing their horizons by imposing on them open-ended curfews while granting the thuggish settlers a virtual carte blanch to terrorize the home-imprisoned Palestinians and vandalize their businesses and property.
Eventually, this policy of "leave-or-suffer" forced more than 1500 Palestinian families to relocate and another 2000 businesses to close. This is not propaganda. Any visitor to the Old Town of Hebron would see the shame of Jewish racism and the brutal ugliness of the Zionist mentality.
The Talmudic settlers, whose raison d'être is to torment Palestinians and make their life unbearable in order to force them to leave, are not a small, marginal minority of ultra-religious Jews as Israel's apologists would claim when speaking to a western audience.
In fact, the settler mentality represents mainstream Israeli thinking these days. An evidence of this is the consistent public opinion polls showing a majority of Israeli Jews advocating government policies that would encourage Israeli's non-Jewish citizens (and, of course, subjects, e.g. the Palestinians), to emigrate.
Moreover, the continued expansion of Jewish-only settlements throughout the West Bank, coupled with the reduction of Palestinian population centers to de facto detention camps, mainly thanks to the gigantic and evil concrete wall Israel has been building deep inside the heartland of the West Bank, underscores the prevalence of racist thinking in the highest echelons of the Israeli political-establishment.
Needless to say, the vast bulk of these hateful settlements (hateful because they are built on stolen land and inhabited by racist settlers who think that non-Jews are lesser human beings or outright animals in human forms!!!) are built on land wrested at gunpoint from Palestinian farmers and peasants.(2)
Indeed, the Israeli government itself recognizes that dozens of these settlements are illegal (as if the other ones were legitimate). However, when Israeli officials are confronted with the question of why illegal activities are allowed and tolerated in a country that claims to be law-abiding, the officials only shrug their shoulders and resort to prevarications, evasive tactics and outright lies.
Today, Israel is adopting a multi-faceted policy combining systematic persecution, de facto enslavement, land theft and skillful mendacity toward the Palestinians, all for the purpose of bullying them to surrender to Jewish supremacy or emigrate.
This is nothing less than a kind of Jewish Nazism. I realize that my words may very well raise eyebrows in some western countries where many people consume Zionist lies and hasbarah from sunrise to sunset.
However, it is imperative that we call things by their names, because a state that thinks like this and acts like this is a fascist state, not unlike Nazis Germany.
Again, we should all remember that the holocaust didn't begin with Auschwitz or Bergen Belsen or the ovens. It started with comparatively petty things, like a book (Mein Kampf), some racist laws (the Nuremberg laws), and a Kristalnacht.
Hence, the question that confronts or ought to confront the conscience of the world is "should humanity wait until Israel does to the Palestinians what the Third Reich did to the Jews?"
Azmi Beshara, a Christian Israeli Arab Knesset member, has been hounded by the Zionist establishment and subjected to a virulent campaign of vilifications and innuendos on no other ground than arguing that Israel ought to be a state for all of its citizen.
For example, an Israeli Knesset member by the name of Arieh Eldad protested the evacuation by the Israeli army of a small settler outpost called Ammona over two years ago, arguing that it was unacceptable that the army "treated human beings (Jews) like Palestinians".
