- החיזבאללה מתגאה מאוד בבביטחון השדה שלו, ואוסר על לוחמיו להתראיין. נאסראללה מתבדח שאפילו הוא לא יודע איפה הוא היה במלחמת לבנון השניה. עיתונאים יכולים לדבר חופשי עם דוברי החיזבאללה, אבל קשה מאוד להגיע ללוחמים. בפרט כששיעור נכבד מהצעירים השיעים מציגים את עצמם בחשיבות "כמי שעשויים להיות בהתנגדות".
- כדי לנסות להתקרב ללוחמי החיזבאללה, הכתב Mitchell Prothero הציע קרב פיינטבול מולו+ 3 עיתונאים אחרים+Andrew Exum, סרן לשעבר בריינג'רס שחוקר ומייעץ בתחום הלחימה נגד התקוממות. לאחר שנה של מאמץ, הוא הצליח לארגן את הקרב.

Then there’s “the Boss.” Dark-haired with piercing black eyes and an angular face, he entered the arena after the others and scanned the room intensely, just as we were about to begin. He’s wearing a black leather jacket, jeans, and trainers, and at first glance looks just like an ordinary 30-something guy from Beirut. Up close his muscular build becomes apparent, as does his confidence, which far exceeds that of Andil and Khodor and is confirmed by his chilling self-introduction: “I am the Boss.”

- הלבנונים גם הראו יכולת לימוד טובה: אחרי שבמשחקים הראשונים העיתונאים ניצחו ע"י טקטיקה שישימה רק בפיינטבול (ירי רצוף מעמדות סטטיות, שלדברי הכתב, לא ריאלי עם נשק אמיתי)- החיזבאללה נטש את הטקטיקה הריאליסטית שלו ונקט גם הוא בטקטיקת פיינטבול.

- ברמה פחות סנסציונית, הכתב הצליח להתקרב מספיק ל-"בוס" כדי שזה יקח אותו לסיור על גבול ישראל-לבנון, ושומע ממנו:
