"Rosatom" to be built in Jordan
The Jordanian authorities have declared readiness to give a contract to build the country's first nuclear power plant costing $ 10 billion which is a part of "Rosatom" "Atomstroyexport". According to the head of an independent portal AtomInfo.Ru Alexander Uvarov, a key issue for the Jordanian project is political: when a few years ago began the first talks about the nuclear power plant, Jordan was one of the most peaceful countries in the Middle East, now the situation is more complicated, though the "Arab Spring" has gone through Amman relatively quiet. Mr. Uvarov adds that in favor of the project and can say that in Jordan there are still undeveloped uranium deposits.
